Fairview (Pattemore House) and surrounding land (2.4 ha) is a Queensland State Heritage listed property situated in Maleny, Queensland. It was built in 1907 by the Pattemores, from white beech timber grown, pit-sawn and hand-dressed on the property. It is one of the oldest in-situ examples of early 20th Century farmhouses in the district.
The Friends of Pattemore House is a volunteer group passionate about local Maleny history that leases the property from the Sunshine Coast Council. The Friends caretake and maintain the property with some financial assistance from the Council. The group collects and researches documents, photographs, oral histories and artefacts associated with the history of the property. “Fairview” is promoted to visitors at regular open days, where they can enjoy historical displays, films and exhibitions. Group and private tours are available on request.
